| Additional Information | The Certified IPC Trainers (CIT) Course is a standards-based certification program with a validity of 2 years. Individuals that have completed the CIT course but have failed to pass a certification exam may attempt to retake the exam after the cool down period of 14 days. Candidates may opt to retest only the failed portion(s) of the certification written examination or the workmanship project, if completed within 90 calendar days following the initial failed exam. Candidates are afforded one complimentary retest of the failed portions of their certification written exam. Any subsequent attempts are subject to the retest fee. Participants are advised to bring your own laptops for online assessment. More Course Date: 23 - 27 Sep 2024

The "IPC-7711 Rework of Electronic Assemblies" and the "IPC-7721 Repair and Modification of Printed Boards and Assemblies" established itself as the electronic industry's manuals for the guidelines on re-installing or replacing electric components and the ability to repair circuitry with minimum impact on quality and reliability.
Course participants will be able to identify acceptable quality for IPC Class 3, demonstrate rework and replacement using various methods, conduct laminate repair, place and route modification wires. They will also be able to explain IPC terminology and definitions and correctly interpret the standard.
Successful completion of the learning activity will allow participants to be certified to instruct Application Specialist certifications.
